Automatic-Transfer Overdraft Protection

The automatic overdraft transfer service enables funds transfers between your checking and/or savings accounts when one is overdrawn. Use your savings, checking or money market accounts to protect your other checking or money market accounts from insufficient funds (NSF) or overdraft situations.


Authorize Presidential to transfer funds from your deposit accounts to your checking or money market account with insufficient funds. Transfers will be debited in priority order in multiples of $100.00 until the overdraft is covered, providing funds are available in the selected account. There is only one fee of $5.00 per transfer, regardless of the amount required for the overdraft. Complete the automatic overdraft transfer authorization form and submit it through secure email in online banking, U.S. mail or simply bring it to a branch.

Funds Transfer – Convenient and Secure

Fund transfers (Inter-Institutional Transfers) are available within Personal Online Banking and allows you to transfer funds between your Presidential Bank account and accounts in your own name at other financial institutions or brokerage houses.


Standard transfers require up to 4-business days to process. This includes the day the transfer is initiated assuming the cut-off time is made (1AM ET for Standard and 8 pm ET for Premium). Premium transfers occur the next business day if initiated before 8PM ET. There is no charge for incoming or outgoing Standard transfers. Premium transfers are $7.50 each for incoming or outgoing transfers. The debiting account will be charged for the transfer amount requested PLUS any applicable fees.


Standard transfers have a daily limit of $15,000.00 and a monthly limit of $25,000.00. Premium transfers have a daily limit of $2,000.00 and a monthly limit of $5,000.00. Exceptions require prior approval by Presidential Bank and are granted on a case-by-case basis. The monthly limit is based on a rolling 30-day period.


Send and Receive Money with Zelle®

Presidential Bank has partnered with Zelle® to bring you a fast and easy way to send and receive money with friends, family and people you know. With Zelle®, you can send money directly from your account to enrolled recipients in minutes, all from the convenience of online banking or our mobile app. Sign into online banking, click on transfer funds and then go to “Send money with Zelle®.”

A Presidential Visa® Debit Card linked to your personal checking account is free and works like cash, only better. Accepted worldwide – wherever Visa® is accepted - debit cards offer quick, secure, and convenient access to your money in person, online and over the phone.


Looking for an ATM

Worldwide access to your accounts is available through Accel and Cirrus ATM networks and has a partnership with Allpoint® and MoneyPass® to bring you over 88,000 surcharge-free ATMs. Additionally, Presidential Bank ATM's are located at branches in the Washington, DC area. Hundreds of thousands of Accel and Cirrus ATMs are located around the United States and the world.

Unlike most other banks, Presidential does not charge our customers for any domestic ATM/Point of Sale usage. However, many ATM owners apply surcharges for using their ATMs. This surcharge will vary by ATM owner.


CardValet® for Personal Management

Control your debit card usage and spending on the go. A lost or stolen card is just one concern where Identity theft, skimming and other attacks are an unfortunate reality. Turn your debit card off when you’re not using it to safeguard against fraud. When your card is “off,” no withdrawals or purchases can be approved.


You can also use CardValet® to set spending limits. The app lets you change these parameters anytime with ease via your mobile device. Transaction controls that allow your debit card to work only in specific locations or geographic areas add another layer of protection, and real-time alerts keep you informed when your card is used or declined.

Enhanced Protection with Fraud Monitoring

Presidential Bank Visa® Debit Card transactions are reviewed by the free fraud monitoring service which searches all card transactions for suspicious activity. If a potentially fraudulent transaction takes place, we’ll contact you to verify the transaction(s) and restrict additional transactions, if applicable, to prevent further fraud. All card transactions are monitored for:


  • Purchases outside your normal purchasing patterns

  • Purchases outside of normal time frames or geographical locations

  • Purchases previously identified as potential fraud trends


How much can I withdraw or purchase with my Presidential Visa® Debit Card?

$550 per day for ATM cash withdrawals and up to $1,000 per day for Point of Sale (POS) purchases.


How do I access all of my personal accounts?

You can link multiple accounts to one card and access all your accounts at Presidential Bank ATMs. You can access your primary checking and primary savings accounts at non-Presidential Bank ATMs. Call the Customer Service Center at 800-383-6266 (M-F 8 am to 10 pm) to add existing accounts to your Card.

Automated Voice Response System

Call (800) 317-6980 anytime to get your balances or account history. The first time you call you will be prompted to select a PIN number. If you have forgotten your PIN call the Customer Service Center at (800) 333-6266 Monday – Friday, 8am-10pm.


Direct Deposit

With Direct Deposit, your paycheck, annuity or social security distribution is automatically credited to your bank account and available right away. Government employees complete form 1199A and follow the instructions on the form. If you want to have your Social Security benefits deposited directly, go online to godirect.gov, or visit a Presidential branch. Other customers should complete the documentation provided by their employer.
